We will challenge you to find your best singing voice. That provides artistry, a clear tone, excellent pitch and supported with a focussed program of songs and exercises. I will teach you the tools to use for professional preparation of songs and provide you with performance opportunites to grow your vocal confidence, performance skills and audition technique. With 25 years on stage and 18 years teaching singing lessons, I know what will build your voice, your confidence and quality in your singing. We concentrate on the Vaccai Italian Method of Singing to focus your voice on the fundamentals of interval recognition and muscle memory, vowels and vowel placement, breathing, stance, musicality, dexterity,, voice classification and precision in pitch.
We use a misture of music in our singing lessons from ABRSM, Trinity College and music theatre reportoire to expand your vocal capability, technical proficiency and diversity in singing reportoire.
Each song is prepared with you through a program of planning, strategy, 'working' vowels, lyrical interpretation, musicality and stylistic conventions, analysis, refinement, performance and reporting.
When timeframes are tight and deadlines non-negotiable, Harmonious Studio we will work with you to get your singing program ready for audition/performance. We have successfully prepared candidates for being cast into major international theatre companies (Disney), performing arts programs (Nasda, Nida and WAAPA) and tertiary courses (VCA, Toi Whakaari, NU, University of Auckland) .
