Singing Teacher

When I started Harmonious Studio in 2000, I wanted an outlet to guide and grow singers from novice to passionate engaged and confident singers. Now I work with absolute beginners through to professional singers and the message is still the same. The work is in finding YOUR voice, expressing the music meaningfully, intelligently, creating art, beauty and excellence with every phrase. Deliberately and wonderfully. I'm pleased to say I have worked with some of the best voices in New Zealand and Australia, singing professionally for over 20 years. I work regularly singing with NZ Opera. Auckland Theatre Company, Auckland Philharmonic, Viva Voce, Bach Musica, Stetson Group (Ken Hill's Phantom of the Opera - Japan Tour 2014), Blue Baths Group. 2017 sees a NZ tour with NZ Opera's 'The Mikado', 10 Concerts, 4 Harmonious Studio student concerts, ABRSM singing examinations, Singing Competitions and celebrating my 50th original musical production 'Nana's Pavlova and Songs from the Barbeque' with Harmonious Events, in my 25th anniversary year as a composer and writer of Musical Theatre.

My love of Musical Theatre as performer and composer have seen me perform roles: Judas (JC Superstar), Anatoly (Chess), Freddie (Chess), Fred Graham (Kiss Me Kate) Enjolras (Les Miserable) and my favourite role Jean Valjean (Les Miserable).

i've been fortunate to train under some amazing musicians and singers, Dr. Debbie Donkin, Bruce Greenfield, and two years training as artist in residence with Jennie Heaton Studio.
